Folding mahogany table with leaves, of English origin, in excellent condition. The cabinet can serve as a console when two extensions are closed. 

Restored, we raised the legs according to our standard, as the originals were broken at the bowl-shaped feet. The photographic details show the table before renovation. 

It dates from the early 20th century and comes from a private residence. Each extension measures 30 cm, and when extended with both, the top becomes nearly round, measuring 115 x 120 cm.

They also drew inspiration from mythology and ancient times, with supports and legs often taking animal forms.

Lion’s paws, eagle heads—these are common features in Renaissance-style furniture. Currently, many global brands reproduce such furniture, inspired by Italian and French craftsmen. This reflects admiration and respect for the history of the most beautiful Renaissance antiques. It’s important to remember that furniture production was perceived differently in each country, so each style had its unique character. This is especially important when searching for a luxurious antique that suits your interior.
