Elegant 19th-century Empire crystal and gilded bronze chandelier, featuring a classic balloon shape, with ten lights, a round structure made of gilded bronze, decorated with botanical elements and floral motifs in fusion, cascading crystal garlands, and chains shaped like pearls with an inclined size, hand-strung.

Five curved, ribbed, cast arms extend from the main gilded crown, finished with refined gilded bronze bobeiges and long wooden candles suitable for five E14 bulbs, while inside the crystal cage, five additional lights E27 illuminate the interior, enhancing the decorative effect and the lively refraction of the crystals.

This romantic chandelier comes from a private Milanese residence, is in excellent condition, but is of French origin.

Ideal placement is in the hallway or dining room; thanks to its extreme classicism and romantic line, it is extremely versatile and easy to incorporate into any environment.

Wonderful antique furniture and accessories can be an excellent idea for decorating our interiors. Currently, there is a growing number of enthusiasts of high-quality vintage items that possess a distinct character and soul. It is a nod to history, craftsmanship, and the design of classic and timeless furniture. There are many different styles in antique furniture, each with its own distinctive features.

Many styles characterize antique furniture, but a few key ones stand out. Eclectic furniture refers to the 19th century, dominated by the Biedermeier style. Its early 20th-century variants include neo-Gothic, Gothic, Rococo, Louis Philippe style, and finally the English Victorian style. By the end of the century, these styles evolved into pseudo-classicism, Renaissance, and Baroque styles.

Empire-style furniture and accessories date from the late 18th to early 19th century. Everything stems from Napoleon’s reign, which imposed significant similarities and references to Roman and Greek ornamentation.

Neoclassical furniture is associated with Louis XVI style, which also strongly references ancient architecture. Noteworthy are antique products in Rococo and Louis XV styles. The next is Baroque, a term derived from the Portuguese 'barocco' – meaning irregularly developed pearl. These were highly representative pieces designed to exude brilliance and play a significant role in luxury. Unique, selectively used materials were employed to emphasize the grandeur of these items.

Today, we can observe how much influence the Baroque style has had on modern classical furniture, which is often designed with a strong resemblance to the past era. An important style as well is Renaissance, which flourished in the 15th and 16th centuries and also left a significant mark on furniture-making. Renaissance furniture was quite heavy and massive, using brown stains, cornices, sturdy bases, and bas-reliefs. These products were quite distinctive but also opened new possibilities, such as the construction of cabinets and broadly speaking, chest furniture. During this period, mythology and antiquity were also of interest, so supports and legs often took animal forms.

Lion paws, eagle heads – these are common motifs in Renaissance style. Currently, many global brands reproduce furniture inspired by Italian and French artisans. This reflects admiration and respect for the history of the most beautiful Renaissance antiques. It is important to remember that furniture production was perceived differently in each country, so each style had its own character. This is especially crucial when searching for an exclusive antique suitable for your interior.

The most important aspect of elite antique furniture is originality. Ultimately, this is vital for buyers, as many counterfeits circulate on the market. Luxury Products provides documentation confirming the product’s authenticity and compliance with the description and photos. We also have experts in art appraisal, history, and specialists from around the world at your disposal.
