Dominic uncovers a secret that the nobility will surely refuse to reveal. Although he has retired from the police, Jim helps him uncover the truth, and Roberta publishes it on her blog. It becomes the subject of a court case, the outcome of which seems to defeat the nobility only for them to return in a terrifyingly altered form. Now Dominic and his friends are at their mercy, and is there anywhere in the world where they can hide? Even if they somehow manage to deal with the nobility, they might not escape or prevent the alien apocalypse that all the events of the trilogy are increasingly bringing closer…
