Dominic uncovers a secret that the nobility will surely refuse to reveal. Although he has retired from the police, Jim helps him uncover the truth, and Roberta publishes it on her blog. It becomes a court case, the outcome of which seems to defeat the nobility only to see them return in a terrifyingly transformed form. Now, Dominic and his friends are at their mercy, and is there anywhere in the world where they can hide? Even if they somehow manage to deal with the nobility, escaping or preventing the alien apocalypse that all the events of the trilogy increasingly foreshadow…
