This exceptional project was conceived by Giampaolo Barbiní. He brought into it the heritage of one of the most distinguished Venetian families, associated with glassmaking.
Models of this brand are unique due to the combination of many equally important elements. These include the beauty of finish, the use of innovative manufacturing techniques, sophisticated and bold design, and strong interaction between top designers and glassmakers.
iMuranesi is now a popular international company that combines modernity with the classic values of Murano glass.
However, behind this modern project lies a tradition dating back several centuries, when the authorities of the Venetian Republic decided to concentrate all glass artisans in one place. To this day, the name of this place is known worldwide, and the glass originating from there takes your breath away.
The Barbiní family is one of the respected medieval clans. These glassmakers left their mark in Venice as early as the second half of the 16th century.
In 1658, by order of the Consiglio dei Dieci council, the Barbiní family was included in the Golden Book of Notable Murano Society, in other words, among the most distinguished glassmakers in Venice.
The family was then granted a coat of arms – featuring two bearded wise men looking at each other with a star between them on a blue background – which can still be admired at the Murano Glass Museum.
