iMuranesi is an artistic project that initially existed only in the imagination of Giampaolo Barbiní. He contributed to it the heritage of one of the oldest Venetian families, associated with Murano glassmaking.
Models from this brand are unique thanks to the synergy of many equally important elements. They include harmony of detail, the use of innovative manufacturing methods, sophisticated and bold design, and strong interaction between top designers and glassmakers.
iMuranesi is now a popular international brand that combines contemporary creativity with the traditional values of Murano glass.
The Barbiní family is one of the most respected medieval lineages. They have left their mark on the Venetian island since the second half of the 16th century.
In 1658, during the Venetian Republic, by order of the Consiglio dei Dieci council, the Barbiní clan was recorded in the Golden Book of Murano Society of Notables, known as the list of the most distinguished glassmakers.
Additionally, the family was granted a coat of arms at that time – featuring two bearded wise men looking at each other with a star above their heads on a blue background – which can still be seen at the Murano Glass Museum.
