iMunaresi is an artistic venture created by Giampaolo Barbin. He brought with him the heritage of one of the most distinguished Venetian families, associated with Murano glassmaking.

The Barbin family is one of the well-known medieval lineages. They established their presence on the island of Murano as early as the second half of the 16th century.
In 1658, during the Venetian Republic, by decree of the Consiglio dei Dieci, they were listed in the Golden Book of Murano Society’s Notables, known as the register of the most distinguished glassmakers in Venice.
Additionally, the family crest was granted at that time – it features two bearded wise men looking at each other with a star between them on a blue background – which can still be admired at the Murano Glass Museum.
