iMuranesi is an artistic venture created by Giampaolo Barbin. He brought to it the heritage of one of the most distinguished Venetian families, associated with Murano glassmaking.

The Barbin family is one of the renowned medieval dynasties. They established their presence on the island of Murano as early as the second half of the 16th century.
In 1658, during the Venetian Republic, a decree by the Consiglio dei Dieci placed them in the Golden Book of Murano Society’s Notables, known as the register of the most distinguished glassmakers in Venice.
Additionally, the family crest was granted at that time – featuring two bearded wise men facing each other with a star between them on a blue background – which can still be admired at the Murano Glass Museum.
