Description

Antique crystal chandelier Maria Theresa 9 lights Restored with a classic cage structure in perfect condition, completely renewed in our laboratory; it was actually purchased under documented conditions shown in the photo taken before restoration: the crystals were very dirty, the gilding of the frame had oxidized, the electrical wiring was thickened and partially broken. It dates from around 1950.

The chandelier was fully disassembled in every part, the iron frame was mechanically brushed to remove rusted sections, and then restored; the electrical components were completely reworked by replacing the old fabric wires with a narrow ribbed strip, and the wooden candles were replaced, allowing the crystals to be carefully washed and reassembled starting from the holders, then the rosettes on the joints, and finally the crystal pendants, maintaining the original order and division. After completing the work, we decided to add octagonal chains and pendants to enhance the aesthetic effect (which can be easily appreciated by comparing the before and after photos).

The chandelier has eight external E14 lights (small socket) and one internal E27 light (large socket) with a maximum power of 750 watts.

Each of our pieces is accompanied by a work card and a declaration of conformity in accordance with applicable regulations. It measures 70 cm in diameter x 90 cm high and weighs 13 kg.

Exclusive antique furniture and accessories can be an excellent idea for decorating our interiors. There is currently a growing number of enthusiasts for high-quality vintage products that have a distinct character and soul. This is a nod to history, creating and designing classic and timeless furniture. There are many different styles in antique furniture, each with its distinctive features.

Many styles characterize antique furniture, but a few key ones stand out. Eclectic furniture refers to the 19th century, dominated by the Biedermeier style. Its early 20th-century variants include neo-Gothic, Gothic, Rococo, Louis Philippe style, and finally the Victorian style. Toward the end of the century, these styles transition into pseudo-classicism, Renaissance, and Baroque styles.

Empire-style furniture and accessories date from the late 18th to early 19th century, inspired by the reign of Napoleon, with strong references to Roman and Greek ornamentation.

Neoclassical furniture, associated with Louis XVI, also draws heavily from ancient architecture. Noteworthy are antique products in Rococo style and Louis XV. Baroque, derived from the Portuguese word 'barocco'—meaning an irregularly developed pearl—was characterized by highly ornate furniture designed to radiate splendor and luxury. Materials were selectively used to emphasize the grandeur of these pieces.

Today, we can see how much the Baroque style influenced modern classical furniture, which often resembles the historical period. The Renaissance style, flourishing in the 15th and 16th centuries, also left a significant mark on furniture design. Renaissance furniture was quite heavy and robust, using brown stains, moldings, strong bases, and relief decorations. These products were quite distinctive but introduced new possibilities, especially in the construction of cabinets and chest-type furniture. Mythology and classical themes were also popular, with supports and legs often taking animal forms.

Lion paws, eagle heads—these are common motifs in Renaissance style. Many global brands now reproduce furniture inspired by Italian and French craftsmen, paying homage to the beauty of Renaissance antiques. It’s important to remember that each country had its own perception of furniture making, giving each style a unique character. This is especially important when seeking an elegant antique piece suited to your interior.

The most important aspect of stylish antique furniture is originality. This is ultimately what matters to the buyer, as many counterfeits circulate on the market. Luxury Products provides a certificate confirming that the product matches the actual description and photo. We have at your disposal art appraisers, historians, and experts from around the world.
