Art Nouveau, although most popular in Europe, spread at the height of its development across the entire globe. The fascination with this mysterious, contrasting style, rich in subtle, feminine patterns, was not only due to admiration for its form. Behind this form lay a design philosophy that encompasses entire lives, which takes on a strongly aesthetic dimension — the Art Nouveau style often dominated homes. They were built in the Art Nouveau style, furnished accordingly, and even the smallest decorative element was inspired by natural structures cherished by Secessionist artists.
