We are delighted to present to you the exceptionally exclusive Ongaro & Fuga manufactory, founded in 1954 by Franco Fuga and his wife Tullia Ongaro. The collaboration of these two highly creative individuals has resulted in a distinctive and fresh perspective on art. They proudly emphasize that Ongaro & Fuga is a centuries-old tradition, through which they revive the magic and prestige of Venetian mirrors.

Their talent was inherited by their son Julian, who continues the family traditions. Through collaboration with renowned artists and designers, he creates a bridge to the future. This is a great homage to family and multi-generational craftsmanship. Julian believes that every cloud or colorful Italian façade reflecting in the lagoon waters provides vibrant material for new projects. Many of these elite mirrors are faithful reproductions of historic pieces. Ongaro & Fuga is part of the Consorzio Promovetro di Murano – an important consortium that is a member of Confartigianato Venezia and Confindustria Venezia. For over twenty years, they have continuously worked to strengthen the image of artistic glass to preserve and defend the thousand-year-old Murano glass art. This is an extremely important initiative that does a lot of good for cultural heritage. Ongaro and Fuga are proud of their Promovetro certification for producing their mirrors in Murano.

How are these famous mirrors made?

This product is inherently extraordinary. The reflection of this beauty is a very long process. It is created through tireless work of hands, heart, and soul. For this reason, Ongaro and Fuga’s artistic mirrors have their price. The effort involved often exceeds 100 hours and can include thousands of decorative elements. This is true luxury and a prime example of how strong European family manufactories are. For centuries, it has been artisans who drove the evolution of the premium industry, shaping the final appearance of the product with their own hands. Everything begins with a sketch on paper. Then, the glass is gradually shaped to fit the design. Using very delicate and smooth diamond grinding stones. Step by step, refining sharp edges and imperfections. And so, from a brilliant idea, an exclusive harmony emerges that combines tradition with modernity! It’s magic—these mirrors, if desired, will be the focal point of your interior.
