In complete opposition to this situation is the philosophy of Berti Knives, a brand producing exceptional knives for various purposes. Founded in 1895 by David Berti, the family workshop appears to be entirely independent of the trends that have emerged worldwide over the years. Its most important value is a commitment to tradition, which is still cultivated by the fourth generation of these Italian artisans.
The owners strongly oppose the idea of mass production by random labor forces, which they believe would lead to the loss of identity of the offered products. Therefore, their work philosophy places a special emphasis on the employed personnel. However, this does not mean that this Italian family is closed to innovations. They are highly desirable, provided they introduce elements consistent with their traditional approach and can withstand years of quality testing.
Unlike competitors, the individual stages of knife production are not handled by specialized groups of workers but are often performed from start to finish by the same person. Thanks to this practice, each blade is completely unique.
Production uses the highest quality materials — blades are made of steel, and handles include materials such as buffalo horn, bison horn, deer antler, and 'bosso' wood.
