The times we live in are associated with increased consumption. As a result, the objects we use daily are deprived of any value other than utilitarian. Each year, we often part with the sentiment they deserve, replacing them with newer models.
The philosophy of Berti Knives, a brand producing exclusive knives for various purposes, differs from this trend. Founded in 1895 by David Berti, the small manufactory seems to be completely detached from the trends that have dominated the world throughout its history. Its core idea is a commitment to tradition, which is still cultivated by the fourth generation of these skilled artisans.
The owners strongly oppose the idea of mass production by unskilled labor, which they believe would cause the loss of identity in the knives produced. For this reason, their company's work philosophy places special emphasis on the employed personnel. However, this does not mean that this Italian family is closed to innovations. They are highly desirable, provided they do not conflict with the existing concept and can withstand long-term quality tests.
Unlike others, the various stages of knife manufacturing are not handled by specialized groups of workers but are often performed from start to finish by the same person. Thanks to this practice, each blade is completely unique.
The production uses the highest quality materials - blades are made of steel, and handles include bison, buffalo, deer horns, as well as 'bosso' wood.
