This is an artistic project by Giampaolo Barbini, a descendant of one of the oldest Venetian families associated with Murano glassmaking.
The models of this brand are unique due to the synergy of many equally important elements. These include the harmony of detail, the use of innovative creation techniques, tasteful and modern design, and a strong bond between the best designers and glassmakers.
iMuranesi is a popular brand with an international reach, combining contemporary creativity with the traditional values of Venetian glass.
Behind this designer model lies experience that dates back to medieval times. It was then that the authorities of the former Venetian Republic decided to gather all glassmaking artisans in one place. To this day, its name is recognized globally, and the products originating from there are breathtaking.
The Barbini family is one of the well-known medieval families. These glassmakers left their mark in Venice as early as the second half of the 16th century.
In 1658, by order of the Consiglio dei Dieci council, the Barbini family was recorded in the Golden Book of the Murano Society's Eminence, in other words, the list of the most distinguished glassmakers.
The Barbinis were then granted a family coat of arms – two bearded sages' heads facing each other with a star between them on a blue background – which can still be admired at the Glass Museum on the island of Murano.
