This is an artistic design by Giampaolo Barbiní, descendant of one of the oldest Venetian families associated with Murano glassmaking.
Models of this brand are unique thanks to the synergy of many equally important elements. These include the harmony of detail, the use of innovative manufacturing techniques, tasteful and modern design, and a strong connection between top designers and glassmakers.
iMuranesi is a popular international brand that combines contemporary creativity with traditional Venetian glass values.
Behind this designer model, however, lies experience dating back to medieval times. Back then, the authorities of the Venetian Republic decided to concentrate all glass artisans in one place. To this day, its name is recognized worldwide, and products originating from there are breathtaking.
The Barbiní family is one of the well-known medieval families. These glassmakers have left their mark in Venice since the second half of the 16th century.
In 1658, by order of the Consiglio dei Dieci council, the Barbiní family was recorded in the Golden Book of Murano Society’s Notables, in other words, in the list of the most distinguished glassmakers.
The Barbiní family was granted a coat of arms at that time – featuring two bearded wise men facing each other with a star between them on a blue background – which can still be admired today at the Glass Museum on the island of Murano.
