Inaugurating the “Montegrappa Citta d’Arte Venezia” collection, the company dedicates it to the one-of-a-kind and captivating city built on 118 islands. Giuseppe Aquila, director of Montegrappa, says that “Bassano del Grappa, home of Montegrappa, was part of the ancient Venetian Republic.
Montegrappa, ambassador of Italian creativity, pays homage to the global cultural heritage by presenting a new family of pens in limited edition. Each year, a city that resonates with art, possessing tangible examples of timeless beauty and boundless respect for human achievements, inspires a new model of an exceptional pen.
Skilled artisans used the traditional casting method of moulds to give each pen a sense of artistic sculpture. To showcase the essence of Venice, the St. Mark’s Basilica is depicted, one of the most fascinating and beloved architectural monuments of the city, featuring four magnificent horses above the main entrance and rosettes on the facades. Consecrated in 1094, the basilica is the most famous example of Byzantine architecture in Italy, symbolizing the commercial and artistic significance of the maritime Venetian Republic.
The lion adorning the top of the caps, cast using moulding techniques, surrounds centuries-old symbols of Saint Mark. An elegant clip highlights the brand’s characteristic moving ball. The clip and the upper part of the barrel, made from resin material in Venetian red, represent the strength and wealth of this fascinating seaside republic.
To evoke the thrill of seeking beauty and art, each pen is packaged in an elegant red box shaped like a treasure chest, to protect the secrets hidden among the narrow streets of the city.
In this limited edition, pens are crafted from precious 18-karat gold and resin material.
