F1® Speed by Montegrappa brings Formula 1® technology and talent into the art of writing—combining advanced materials and engineering in a radical design package that accelerates the pulse. Computer-designed, expandable body combines aerodynamics and ergonomics, ensuring a captivating appearance and dynamic writing performance. A section of the grip made from carbon fiber provides unparalleled durability and stability, seamlessly transitioning into the barrel through a specially designed, stepped “Monza” stop. Carbon composite, black ruthenium, and high-gloss lacquer reflect the performance and brilliance of the greatest motorsport spectacle.
The 18-karat gold nib is available in multiple sizes: Extra Fine, Fine, Medium, Broad, Double Broad, Stub 1.1. The filling system uses a cartridge/converter. This limited edition consists of 372 pieces, referencing the maximum speed ever recorded in an FIA World Championship™ race: 372.6 km/h, achieved by Juan Pablo Montoya at Monza in 2005.
