Although Art Nouveau was most popular in Europe, at the height of its development it spread worldwide. The fascination with this mysterious, contrasting style, rich in subtle, feminine patterns, was not only due to admiration for its form. Behind this form lay a design philosophy that encompasses entire lives, which take on a strongly aesthetic dimension — the Secession style often dominated homes. They were built in the Art Nouveau style, furnished in this style, and even the smallest decorative element was inspired by natural structures, which the artists of that period loved.
