It is a combination of the English version of the word “my” – MY and the Italian equivalent – MIA. MY+MIA =MIYA- This is a new collection by Montegrappa. The name of the collection suggests that its owner possesses a “personal”, very “intimate” writing jewel. MIYA was created in three celluloid colors: red, yellow, and turquoise.
We would like to introduce an innovative slightly convex shape at the junction of the cap and the body. The body and cap are made of celluloid, while the details are crafted from sterling silver. The cap is decorated with a Greek pattern characteristic of Montegrappa, representing perfect symmetry. The clip features a distinctive Montegrappa ball, which perfectly complements the shape of the collection. The fountain pen has a nib made of 18-karat gold, a new ebonite feed, and a double filling system: converter or ink cartridges.Celluloid is a material that requires a long aging process and is then subjected to many treatments, giving it an exclusive character. All these processes make celluloid very delicate and pleasant to the touch, as well as giving it a durable, slightly shimmering color.
