Tributo ad Antonio Stradivari Genio Creativo Ballpoint Pen

Montegrappa, a symbol of Italian style, unique design, and creativity, pays tribute in its latest edition to outstanding individuals, geniuses recorded in human history. The first of the editions, a limited anniversary collection "Genio Creativo", is dedicated to Antonio Stradivari — the creator of exceptional musical instruments — violins. To this day, no one has matched the artist born in 1644 in Cremona, Italy. No craftsman has managed to produce an instrument with as pure and deep a sound as the Stradivarius — undoubtedly a testament to the artist’s genius in this field.

Until today, no one has been able to match this 17th-century luthier, nor break the mystery of the sound of the instruments crafted by his hand. Stradivarius violins are considered the greatest achievements in violin-making in history, serving as an unmatched benchmark for artisans of later eras. Most of the greatest virtuosos in history have performed on these instruments. They often bore the names of famous owners, e.g., the 1717 violin called Salerno belonged to Henryk Wieniawski. Authentic Stradivarius instruments are now an extraordinary rarity, with only about 1,000 in existence worldwide. Their market value, driven by art market trends, starts at one million dollars and continues to rise.

Today’s creators of the limited edition of Antonio Stradivari fountain pens have crafted instruments worthy of a virtuoso. Each pen, topped with a white gold nib, is decorated with gold elements in yellow gold and initials A.S. An exceptional signature that master Stradivari used to place on his works. The delicate, almost sensual design of the collection reflects the narrowing shape of the violin’s body in its middle section.

The clip of the cap is also designed to evoke the strings of an instrument. Additionally, the cap is adorned with an engraving of Montegrappa surrounded by a background of pure turquoise — a symbol of human genius’s uniqueness. The true soul of the instrument, however, is the echo of the sound produced by the wood used to make the violin. Its color and texture are reflected in the precious resin mass covering the pen’s body. The individual number of each instrument in the collection is engraved on the cap ring.
