The first is subjected to the idea that utilitarian objects must be aesthetic but above all functional, crafted in an elegant, simple way - with symmetrical lines, from solid materials, where every element in the final form is carefully considered.
Art Noveau is the complete opposite of Thistle - the decorated items are a combination of functionality and artistic craftsmanship, refined Art Nouveau, asymmetry.
