The fascination with its mysterious, contrasting style, rich in subtle, feminine patterns, was driven not only by admiration for its form. Behind this style lay a design philosophy that encompasses entire lives, which take on a strongly aesthetic dimension — the Secession style often dominated homes. Buildings, furniture, and even the smallest decorative elements were inspired by natural structures cherished by artists of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
