The philosophy of Berti Knives, a manufacturer of exclusive knives for various uses, is different. Founded in 1895 by David Berti, this small workshop appears to be entirely independent of the trends that have dominated the industry over the years. Their core principle is fidelity to tradition, which is still upheld by the fourth generation of these master craftsmen.
The owners strongly oppose the idea of mass production by unskilled labor, which they believe would lead to the loss of identity in the products. For this reason, their company's philosophy emphasizes the importance of the employed personnel. However, this does not mean that the Italian family is closed to new ideas. They are very welcome, provided they do not conflict with the existing philosophy and can withstand long-term quality tests.
Unlike competitors, the various stages of knife production are not handled by specialized artisan sections but are carried out from start to finish by the same person. Thanks to this practice, each blade is completely unique.
The production uses the highest quality materials — blades are made of stainless steel, and handles include materials such as buffalo horn, bison horn, deer antler, or 'bosso' wood.
