The philosophy of Berti Knives, a brand producing exclusive knives for various purposes, is different. Founded in 1895 by David Berti, the family workshop seems to be completely independent of the trends that have taken place worldwide over the years. Its main guiding principle is a commitment to tradition, which is now cultivated by the fourth generation of Italian artisans.
The founders firmly reject the idea of mass production by random labor, which they believe would lead to the loss of identity of the products. Therefore, their company's philosophy places great emphasis on the employed personnel. However, this does not mean that this Italian family is closed to any innovations. They are very much desired, provided they do not conflict with the existing vision and can pass long-term quality tests.
Unlike others, the various stages of knife production are not handled by specialized groups of artisans, but are often carried out from start to finish by the same person. Thanks to this practice, each blade is completely unique.
High-quality materials are used in production — blades are made of steel, and handles include materials such as buffalo horn, bison horn, deer antler, and 'bosso' wood.
