The Tibaldi Sovereign Military Order of Malta (SMOM) Sterling Silver ballpoint pen is a valuable work of art, perfectly designed with a pattern inspired by medieval chainmail armor. The cap features an elegant depiction of a Maltese knight from the back, above which is a discreet engraved panel allowing for personalization with the end of the username or initials. The most recognizable symbol associated with the Order, the Maltese cross, adorns the barrel. It is hand-painted by a skilled artist, Lorena Straffi. Finished with silver, it contrasts beautifully with the carnelian gemstone decorating the ornament. The clip, shaped like a tie, resembles early 20th-century pen designs. The construction of the clip, ending with a small ring, facilitates placing the pen in a case or jacket pocket. Laboratory tests confirmed that the clip is mounted on a ring rather than on the cap.
