They proudly emphasize that Ongaro & Fuga is a centuries-old tradition, reviving the magic and incredible Venetian mirrors.

Their talent was inherited by their son Julian, who continues the family tradition. Through collaboration with renowned artists and designers, he creates a bridge to the future. This is a great nod to family traditions and multi-generational workshops. Julian believes that every cloud or colorful Italian facade reflected in the lagoon waters provides vibrant material for new projects. Many of these luxurious mirrors are faithful reproductions of historic pieces. Ongaro & Fuga is part of the Consorzio Promovetro di Murano – an important consortium affiliated with Confartigianato Venezia and Confindustria Venezia. For over twenty years, they have been actively working to enhance the image of artistic glass to preserve and defend the thousand-year-old Murano glassmaking tradition. This is a highly significant initiative that does a lot of good for cultural heritage. Ongaro and Fuga are proud to hold the Promovetro certification for producing their mirrors on Murano island.

That is why Ongaro & Fuga’s exquisite mirrors command such a price. The work involved often exceeds 100 hours and can include thousands of decorative elements. This is genuine luxury and a testament to the strength of European family workshops. For centuries, it has been artisans who drove the evolution of the premium industry, shaping the final appearance of the product with their hands. Everything begins with a sketch on paper. Then, the glass is gradually shaped to fit the design, using very delicate and smooth diamond grinding stones. Step by step, they refine sharp edges and uneven surfaces.
