Marvelous design and attention to the smallest details guarantee the highest quality of the Tettau brand. The "Royal Privileged Porcelain Factory Tettau" has existed for over 200 years, making it the oldest porcelain factory in Bavaria. The great Alexander v. Humboldt fought for its establishment in 1794.

Almost 100 years later, more than 200 employees work here, including turners, annealers, firers, color painters, and other craftsmen in the production halls.

In 1918, the management appointed Max Wunderlich, who after the Second World War shifted production from inexpensive tableware to exclusive coffee and tea sets, which have since been sold worldwide as a true, mostly handmade treasure. However, this does not satisfy the brand and its achievements, as it continually strives to better meet today's demands. With the invention of special hard porcelain, which the company sells under the name Diamant, Königlich Tettau achieved a world novelty in the 2010/2011 season: combining the aesthetics of cream porcelain and soft porcelain with the durability of hard porcelain. Since 1957, the plant has been part of the Seltmann Weiden group.

To counteract the ongoing pressure of cheap imports from the Far East, the production, sales, and administration of Königlich priv. Tettau are integrated into the locations of the Seltmann Group Rudolstadt / Volkstedt and the Erbendorf plant. Through these measures, the management of Seltmann Weiden and Königlich priv. Tettau has reliably ensured the continuation of production and sales of the "Königlich privilegierte Porzellan fabrik Tettau" brand products.

Founded in 1910, the company "Porzellanfabriken Christian Seltmann" transformed into a group of enterprises, which are still managed as a family business, through the acquisition of the "Königlich Privierte Porzellanfabrik Tettau" with four specialized porcelain factories and an art department established in 1990. In 5 plants, about 1000 employees produce exquisite porcelain for households, hospitality, and gastronomy, mass catering, and incentive programs. Another goal is the production of particularly valuable sculptures by renowned artists and high-quality gifts.

With the acquisition of the Königlich Tettau porcelain factory and manufactories, the Seltmann Group has over 250 years of experience in porcelain production. The porcelain of the group meets the highest global standards in design, functionality, durability, and exclusivity. These are the product qualities whose high quality standard can only be maintained in Germany.
