Premium porcelain combined with a prestigious history symbolizes the Seltmann factory. Founded in 1910, the company "Porzellanfabriken Christian Seltmann" (Seltmann Weiden) evolved into a group through the acquisition of "Königlich Privierte Porzellanfabrik Tettau" (Königlich Tettau) along with four specialized porcelain producers and an art department established in 1990 and 1995 as a family business. Five plants employing around 800 staff produce excellent porcelain for households, hotels, and the hospitality industry. Another goal is the production of particularly unique figurines and gifts.

Thanks to the Königlich Tettau porcelain factory (the oldest porcelain factory in Bavaria), the Seltmann Group has over 200 years of experience in porcelain manufacturing. The renowned naturalist Alexander von Humboldt campaigned for the establishment of a manufactory, which took place in 1794 under the privilege of Prussian King Frederick William II.

Even longer tradition (almost 250 years) can be traced to the oldest still-operating porcelain factory in Thuringia, in Rudolstadt / Volkstedt. The "Oldest Volkstedt Porcelain Manufactory" was expanded in 2007 into a "translucent porcelain manufactory," and four factories with an art department in Volkstedt were consolidated "under one roof." Quarzsandwerke Weissenbrunn supplies high-quality raw materials and ready-made pastes for the ceramics industry and is part of the corporate group.

As one of the few porcelain producers operating worldwide, the Seltmann Group possesses exceptionally broad expertise in manufacturing—from high-tech production at one of Europe's most modern porcelain factories to pure craftsmanship at factories (located in Rudolstadt / Thuringia). In addition to continuously developing specialized fields such as hotel and gastronomy, catering, and motivational programs, the Seltmann Group primarily targets family-run companies in the domestic porcelain industry, which typically value a wide range of products available for purchase later.
