The elegant shape pays homage to a life in search of plasticity; the body and cap are oval, reminiscent of faces in portraits; the clip is long and uneven, like their noses; the ring of the cap has a characteristic irregular shape of the lips he painted. A characteristic feature of Modigliani—the bold and vibrant brushstroke, visible in every one of his paintings—is recreated using precious resin, from which these pens are made. The color of the ballpoint pen is the same as in several of his works: a deep blue, like Parisian nights. The top of the cap features and connects the Montegrappa logo with a single gemstone—symbol of the uniqueness of genius, which in the platinum version is a topaz.
