This high-quality weapon blade is a ceremonial saber from the French brand BALP, used at the Special Military School Saint-Cyr in Coëquidan. It is also used by honor guards in French-speaking African countries.
Balp manufactory was established in 1830, in homage to the most beautiful French arms smithies. Its reputation and top quality of production have spread throughout France and beyond. Subsequent generations have aimed to uphold the tradition and know-how.
