In 2005, it refreshed the appearance of one of its oldest and most classic pen models, Privilege. The new design adorning the Privilege Deco series was inspired by a historic model from the 1930s, belonging to the Montegrappa museum.

We are pleased to present the octagonal shape and precious materials used in the pen's production, which distinguish this collection. They have been revitalized with new design elements and an elegant new color scheme for the finishing parts. The dominant color now is an elegant pearl gray. The pattern on the pen body is made using authentic, rare Guilloche technique, the most traditional craftsmanship method. To trace the origins of the Guilloche technique, one must go back to the 17th century. Although today it is an extremely rare and complex technique, a few artisans still master this skill. The Guilloche technique is an ancient art used in goldsmithing, enabling the creation of lines with special tools to decorate precious materials such as silver, gold, or platinum.
The imagination of the creators of this line of fountain pens has resulted in very elegant pens, and by applying a resin mass finish in gray, they have become even more refined. The manufacturer has left a space on the cap, allowing the owner to engrave a personal mark or signature. The clip is finished with a characteristic ball typical of the brand.

The fountain pens are equipped with 18-karat gold nibs, rhodium-plated, and ebonite feeds. They feature converters that can be easily replaced with ink cartridges at any time. This edition embodies sophisticated elegance, maintaining the ancient tradition of handcrafted craftsmanship and the excellence for which Montegrappa is known.
