The Kīlauea armchair is inspired by the currently active shield volcano in Hawaii, the most active of the five volcanoes that together form the Hawaiian Islands. The lava flow, when heading towards the ocean, is an incredible sight to see, creating unique landscapes of black, beautiful textures. Inspired by the phenomenal phenomenon of Porus Studio, the Kilauea chair was designed. The structure of this mid-century modern chair is upholstered in black genuine leather, carefully applied to create a lava effect on the backrest.
