This artistic endeavor was created by a descendant of one of the oldest Venetian families, associated with Murano glassmaking. Giampaolo Barbini, the person in question, brought a legacy of hundreds of years of experience into it.
Models from this brand are unique thanks to the synergy of many equally important elements. These include the beauty of finish, the use of modern manufacturing techniques, sophisticated and bold design, and strong interaction between top designers and glassmakers.
iMuranesi is currently a popular international company that combines contemporary creativity with the traditional values of Murano glass.
Behind this designer project, however, lies a tradition dating back several centuries, when the authorities of the Venetian Republic decided to concentrate all glassmakers in one place. To this day, the name of this place is associated worldwide, and the products originating from there delight crowds.
The Barbini family has been present on the island of Murano since the second half of the 16th century. In 1658, by order of the Consiglio dei Dieci council, the Barbini clan was included in the Golden Book of Notable Murano Society, known as the register of the most distinguished glassmakers.
Additionally, the family was granted a coat of arms – depicting two bearded wise men facing each other with a star above their heads on a blue background – which can still be admired today in the Glass Museum on Murano island.
