Visconti is an Italian brand creating luxury goods, founded in 1988 in Florence by Dante Del Vecchio and Luigi Poli, who were passionate collectors of fountain pens. Aspiring to produce their own luxury pens, they set out to develop their own designs.
In the 1990s, Visconti developed a high-vacuum filling system (1993), a travel fountain pen (1997), and a double reservoir filling system (1998), which consisted of a dual-chamber filling mechanism to prevent leaks.
By 2012, Visconti had exported its stylish products to over 50 countries worldwide, selling 50,000 pens annually.
The company is known for using celluloid in the production of its accessories, adding details made of titanium, gold, diamond, ebonite, and acrylic fiber. Handcrafted Visconti fountain pens are appreciated for their quality and exquisite craftsmanship. The product line has evolved over time, with several collections launched since its inception.
