High-quality material combined with a prestigious history makes Seltmann a synonym for excellence. Founded in 1910, the company "Porzellanfabriken Christian Seltmann" (Seltmann Weiden) evolved into a group through the acquisition of "Königlich Privierte Porzellanfabrik Tettau" (Königlich Tettau), along with four specialized porcelain manufacturers and an art department established in 1990 and 1995 as a family business. Across five factories, approximately 800 employees produce superb porcelain for households, hotels, and the hospitality industry. Another goal is the production of particularly valuable figurines and gifts.

Thanks to the Königlich Tettau porcelain factory (the oldest porcelain factory in Bavaria), the Seltmann Group has over 200 years of experience in porcelain manufacturing. The renowned naturalist Alexander von Humboldt advocated for establishing the manufactory in 1794 under the privilege granted by Prussian King Frederick William II.

Even longer tradition (nearly 250 years) can be found at the oldest still-operating porcelain factory in Thuringia, in Rudolstadt / Volkstedt. The "Oldest Volkstedt Porcelain Manufactory" was expanded in 2007 into a "translucent porcelain manufactory," and four factories with an art department in Volkstedt were merged "under one roof." Quarzsandwerke Weissenbrunn supplies high-quality raw materials and ready-made masses for the ceramic industry and is part of the corporate group.

 As one of the few porcelain producers operating worldwide, the Seltmann Group possesses exceptionally broad know-how in manufacturing—from high-tech production at one of Europe's most modern porcelain factories to pure craftsmanship in factories (located in Rudolstadt / Thuringia).
