Launching the “Montegrappa Citta d’Arte Venezia” collection, the company dedicates it to the unique and captivating city built on 118 islands. Giuseppe Aquila, Montegrappa’s director, states that “Bassano del Grappa, home of Montegrappa, was part of the ancient Venetian Republic.
Skilled artisans used traditional mold casting techniques to give each pen the impression of artistic sculpture. To showcase the essence of Venice, the design features St. Mark’s Basilica, one of the most fascinating and beloved architectural monuments of the city, with four magnificent horses above the main entrance and rosettes on the window facades. Consecrated in 1094, the basilica is the most famous example of Byzantine architecture in Italy, symbolizing the commercial and artistic significance of the maritime Venetian Republic.
The lion adorning the top of the cap, cast using mold techniques, surrounds the centuries-old symbols of Saint Mark. An elegant clip highlights the brand’s characteristic moving ball. The cap and the upper part of the body, made from resin material in Venetian red, represent the strength and wealth of this fascinating seaside republic.
