Fire Ballpoint Pen FIRE Alchemist Montegrappa

The Italian manufacturer Montegrappa has created a fountain pen: "Alchemist", inspired by the novel by Brazilian author Paulo Coelho. Only 125 fountain pen pieces represent the four elements: air, fire, earth, and water. The collection was officially launched in Bassano del Grappa on Saint Joseph’s Day, March 19, 2012.

Montegrappa designed a pen that is incredibly beautiful and highly expressive in its structure. The pen’s design embodies the spiritual essence of the novel. This pen makes a remarkable impression, and the craftsmanship and precision with which its details have been recreated place it, in our opinion, among the most beautiful pens of the last few years! The body is a symbolic representation of the universe concept from "The Alchemist", where the central ring with the sun separates the sky from the lower parts. The wheels represent seven alchemical processes, and the names of seven cosmic elements are engraved on the casing. On the pyramid, there is a fragment of each metal. The tip of the pen is decorated with "The Divine Eye" watching over the earth.

In 1986, Brazilian writer Paulo Coelho undertook a pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela. This event inspired him to write the novel "The Pilgrimage". The following year, he wrote and published "The Alchemist", which became a worldwide bestseller. Over 65 million copies have been sold, translated into 71 languages. This is a world record for the number of translations of a book published during the author’s lifetime.
