The Anframa manufactory is a company working since the year 1970, bringing together the best artisans from around Toledo.
The brand is creating wares in the Damascene style, referring to the unordinary history of decorating armours from time immemorial.
It was the deposition of gold and silver on metals such as steel, copper, iron or bronze, which provided for the beauty and prestige of such wares.
The knowledge of Damascene steel has gotten to Europe in the times of crusades. The legends about sabres made of this kind of steel, which were supposedly cutting candles without knocking them over as well as making dents in rock and swords were quickly spreading among the European knights. A great part of these legends were exaggerated, nevertheless the Damascene steel was truly better in terms of quality then its European counterpart.
