Description
The Modular Sideboard is crafted from exotic wood and designed with geometric and minimalist lines. The large structure is made of satin-finished wood. Architect Mies Van der Rohe designed this piece with his characteristic and unique design features.
He believed that "God is in the details," and keeping this in mind, he designed the Modular Sideboard, which showcases high precision and refinement. Available in two different sizes.
The Malabar brand was founded in 2012, launching a wide range of decorative Fado guitars and the elegant World Architects furniture collection. It has designed and released a total of 5 exceptional furniture and accessory series.
Malabar has left its mark at the most prestigious international fairs, such as 100% Design London, Maison & Objet, Decorex, Stockholm Furniture Fair, and Seoul International. These are among the top venues for showcasing.
Malabar furniture production comes from the Porto area, in northern Portugal, known for its long-standing tradition of handcrafted products.
The identity of this exceptional brand is rooted in the architectural and artistic heritage of the past five centuries.
International experience and a pursuit of perfection are the details that define such original companies. Emotions, handcrafted craftsmanship, and space-inspired design create an explosive mix of elegant furniture.
The use of various techniques in producing natural wood products results in incredible effects, as seen in Malabar’s exceptional collections. An important aspect of the design is the combination of neutral and black colors.
Vivid and striking colors dominate, significantly diverging from traditional and stereotypical furniture.
Besides wood, the brand uses brass, gold and silver leaf, as well as other high-quality raw materials.
The Portuguese soul is very colorful and fascinating, clearly reflected in bold furniture designs.
The company's name derives from Malabar black pepper. Along with other spices, it changed the course of trade history with the discovery of the Cape. The rarity of original spices prompted Portuguese merchants to chart a daring sea route.
This continues today, as Malabar defines highly individual design boundaries and evokes strong emotions with its projects. They are very liberated, seductive, bold, and extremely luxurious.
And these are exactly the kinds of products we love and introduce on the My Luxury Products platform.
