When mentioning the city of Vicenza, the capital of Italian jewelry, this manufactory immediately comes to mind. Montegrappa is proud to showcase new engraving techniques and innovative hand-engraved models from the Privilege family — "Privilege Gioiello".
The Italian word "Gioiello" refers to gem or jewelry. These terms are often used to describe the image created by new patterns, as seen with the octagonal Privilege pen. This original form was partly inspired by the prestigious sense of beauty from the thirties and also by the collection of pens in the Montegrappa museum. The elegant shape of Privilege has been refined with sterling silver and decorated with new motifs created using a special technique. Original engraving techniques have been applied to all silver elements of the product. The clip has the same finish as the cap, creating a camouflaged effect. The collection features four patterns: Arctic with icy reflections; Bark with a grainy tree bark texture; Peacock — a decoration resembling a peacock’s tail eye; Wave — inspired by choppy water surface stirred by the wind. The Privilege Gioiello line includes fountain pens and ballpoint pens in a limited edition of 500 pieces.
Privilege Gioiello Bark Silver Fountain Pen Limited Edition — the dominant feature of the body surface is formed by longitudinal carved lines highlighting the "deep engraving" technique — without joints. The Privilege Montegrappa Gioiello Bark Silver pen is one of the few made using this technique with sterling silver. Initially inspired by a model from 1930, which was part of the Montegrappa Privilege collection, the pen was a precursor to new engraving techniques and was enhanced with silver and decorated with motifs — employing special techniques to showcase carved patterns. This technique had never been used before. Each day, skilled artisans at Montegrappa can produce only two or three pens. Privilege Gioiello Bark Silver Pens are available in various nib sizes with 18k gold.
The Privilege Montegrappa Gioiello Bark pens can be personalized (with a name, initials, or date), transforming this valuable writing instrument into an even more personal object — suitable for personal use or as a gift for a loved one.
