Another, almost transcendental advantage uniting them is the commitment to ensuring their creations possess elegance, and that form respects function. The date on which Anonima Lombarda Fabbrica Automobili was founded, June 24, 1910, is reflected in the number of pens produced in the limited edition by these two legendary Italians. Montegrappa has been manufacturing top-quality fountain pens and writing instruments in the same factory since 1912, and it was chosen to produce a pen for Alfa Romeo on its centenary.
The first fruit of this new collaboration between the companies is an elegant line of pens embodying the essence of Alfa Romeo's history and prestige. The collection was brought to life by a master craftsman from Bassano. To mark this important anniversary, it includes twelve different writing items (three versions of pens, ballpoint pens, and mechanical pencils) to celebrate and honor the magnificent car, in which every detail of the design has been carefully considered. The date on which Anonima Lombarda Fabbrica Automobili was founded — June 24, 1910 — refers to the number of pens created in this limited edition.
The exquisite artistic design engraved with a unique low-relief technique on the body, available in silver and gold versions, is inspired by stylistic elements reminiscent of the Alfa Romeo logo. It is also depicted in a sculpture on the top of the cap, while the classic four-leaf clover associated with Alfa is engraved on the 18-karat, bi-color gold nib of the fountain pen. The feed is made of ebonite, demonstrating that even parts hidden from human sight are luxurious and crafted with the utmost attention to detail.Montegrappa pens showcase a blend of Italian style and functionality, a rare, valuable item that expresses the character of the person who owns it.
