Description

"Urban understanding" is a meaningful description of MAD Architects' core design philosophy. Inspired by the Absolute Towers MAD, the Torsion mirror consists of 4 dynamically fluid layers with a unique natural wood grain pattern, finished with a high-gloss lacquer.

This stunning pattern is combined with 2 layers of silver leaf ombré, creating a more classically luxurious decorative element that connects urban homes with organic energy.

The Malabar brand was founded in 2012, alongside the launch of a wide range of decorative Fado guitars and the elegant World Architects furniture collection. It has designed and released a total of 5 exceptional furniture and accessory series.

Malabar has made its mark at major international fairs such as 100% Design London, Maison & Objet, Decorex, Stockholm Furniture Fair, and Seoul International. These are among the top venues for showcasing.

Malabar's furniture production originates from the Porto area, in northern Portugal, a region with a long and strong tradition of handcrafted products.

The identity of this prestigious brand is rooted in the architectural and artistic heritage of the past five centuries.

International experience and a pursuit of perfection are the details that set such original companies apart. Emotions, handcrafted craftsmanship, and space-age design create an explosive mix of luxurious furniture.

Various techniques in working with natural wood produce incredible effects, as seen in Malabar's exceptional collections. An important aspect of the design is the combination of neutral and black colors.

Vivid and bold hues dominate, significantly diverging from classic and stereotypical furniture.

Besides wood, the manufacturer uses brass, gold and silver leaf, as well as other high-quality raw materials.

The Portuguese soul is very colorful and fascinating, clearly reflected in the daring furniture designs.

The company's name comes from Malabar black pepper. Along with other spices, it changed the course of trade history with the discovery of the Cape. The rarity of original spices prompted Portuguese merchants to chart a bold sea route.

This remains true today, as Malabar continues to define highly individual design boundaries and evokes strong emotions with its projects. They are very liberated, seductive, daring, and extremely luxurious.

And these are exactly the kinds of products we love and bring to the My Luxury Products platform.

What raw materials does Malabar use?

The company employs the most exclusive types of wood, including: ebony, walnut, American walnut, oak, ironwood, beech, basswood, olive wood, bird's eye, burl, poplar, satinwood, and ash.

Malabar also applies ancient lacquer techniques. First, copper, gold, silver, pink, and tiger-colored leaf are applied, then lacquered.

The types of glass used by the manufacturer include: dark glass, smoked, gold, antique, and antique brown.

The marble varieties are diverse, including: Sahara, grey Kenzo, Nero Marquina, Portoro, Gris Douro, Black Gold, Guatemala Verde, Tiger Skin, Ochiro, Calacatta Vagli, Estremoz, Carrara Gold, Carrara, White Extremez, and Travertine.

Specifically: chrome, nickel-plated black brass, polished brass, gilded brass, polished copper, antique brass, silver brass, brushed brass, polished brushed brass, brass, and hammered polished copper.

We are happy to arrange a meeting and present all available materials about the Malabar brand. Our Luxury Products team will advise and select the most suitable furnishings and accessories for your interiors.
