The Mikado collection is inspired by the game “Pick-up sticks,” which we played as children. Copper, brass, or stainless steel tubes, reminiscent of the Mikado sticks game, are cut at precise angles and assembled with great accuracy into furniture, providing much-needed support. Each tube can hold a flower, making this console table even more surprising and unique. Designed as an entryway table, the console is lightweight and fluid, with the tabletop appearing to float above the precisely crafted legs. The console features two separate drawers and many different custom options. Like other elements from this collection, it is also considered a sculpture by many.
In 2018, it received the “Silver A’ Design Award” in the category of “Furniture, decorative articles, and homeware design.”
