The first is based on the idea that everyday objects should be aesthetic items, but primarily functional, crafted in an elegant, simple manner – with symmetrical lines, from solid materials, where each element is carefully considered in the final form.
Art Nouveau is the complete opposite of Thistle – decorated items that combine functionality with artistic craftsmanship, elaborate Art Nouveau style, and asymmetry.
