Goti Terrecotte boasts over fifty years of experience born from the owner Giancarlo's strong passions. Mr. Giancarlo began his journey as a ceramic decorator apprentice, later opening a small artisan workshop in Sesto Fiorentino after marrying Ms. Fiorella Goti. The expansion occurred within a few years, and by 1973, he had made progress and established his brand in Calenzano, a few kilometers from Florence, Tuscany. The knowledge accumulated over the years by Giancarlo includes experimenting with materials and production techniques:

- Artistic casting of ceramic, replacing traditional molding processes
- Using clay from the Impruneta quarries to produce frost-resistant cookware made from clay with a unique family recipe, mixed and kneaded with water to create professional or outdoor food ovens with high certified resistance and quality of heatproof terracotta, fired at 1040°C.

The well-equipped laboratory allows for the handmade and personalized creation of jars, tiles, statues, pots, vases, sinks, chimneys, bricks on order, bas-reliefs, and various decorative items. The production department dedicated to wood-fired ovens has enabled Goti Terrecotte to be recognized internationally as a benchmark in the market for heat-resistant terracotta wood-fired ovens for professional, home, and garden use.

The product range, from classic to modern furniture, includes over 1,000 items in the catalog. Additionally, the brand is prepared to produce items based on drawings or orders. 90% of production goes to the “garden of clients,” says Giancarlo, owner of Goti Terrecotte d’Autore.

Artifacts are left to cook for 5 days in a dedicated oven at 1040°C. Only careful drying before firing prevents cracking during firing and ensures high mechanical resistance. High quality is guaranteed, certified, and tested in a heatproof mass laboratory. Raw materials used for processing come directly from the Impruneta quarries. The clay present in Impruneta gives the finished product a unique color and extraordinary frost resistance.

For this reason, Goti Terrecotte seeks out and acquires prestigious Impruneta clay: an unrivaled raw material with remarkable properties, primarily “frost resistance,” meaning water does not absorb, allowing it to withstand even the lowest temperatures almost indefinitely. Of course, the production process is also refined and more complex, with longer times: Impruneta clay is processed through molding, has very slow drying times, and is fired at extremely high temperatures.
