The company INGA is an acronym for "Industria Nazionale Gessi e Affini" and was founded in the early fifties by the Sgambaro family.

It was one of the four Italian companies producing chalk for school blackboards, an indispensable aid at the time for the education and entertainment of thousands of children and young people. In addition to blackboard chalk, INGA produced "affini," which are other chalk products such as stuccos, packaged and sold in powder or paste form. In the 60s and 70s, INGA also added decorative interior elements to its blackboard chalk production. This way, INGA became one of the leading producers of prestigious decorative stuccos, such as rosettes, frames, and wall and ceiling cornices. These were very fashionable at the time, ordered and installed in all homes as decorative elements.

Over the years, Inga gradually moved away from mass production to dedicate itself exclusively to creating artistic objects that reflect a passion for beauty, culture, and elegance. INGA transformed into a true art laboratory, where unique, refined, and personalized plasterworks are created for clients from all over the world.
