The inspiration for the "Extra" series pens was a model from Montegrappa from the 1930s. Extra 1930 Bamboo Black is a new color variant of the well-known classic collection. The "Extra 1930" series perfectly combines technological innovation with classic aesthetics and appearance. The hues of the bodies made from celluloid, in brown and marbled green, were inspired by models from the Montegrappa Museum. This series includes fountain and ballpoint pens with sterling silver decorations, featuring 18-karat gold nibs and an ebonite reservoir, available only in brown. The ballpoint pen has a body and cap made from high-quality plastic in a deep black color with distinctive green flashes. The cap is topped with the company's logo, i.e., 1912 within a laurel wreath. The clip and rings are made of sterling silver. The clip is finished with the brand's characteristic ball, which facilitates attachment. The ring at the base of the cap is decorated with Greek characters. The pen features an extremely efficient, velvety-writing ink cartridge with a traditional piston filling system. The pen is housed in a ash wood box with an included replica of the original year's ink bottle, with an ebonite closure.
