Producing glass in Murano means continuing a thousand-year-old tradition, a history of knowledge, secrets, and skills that are a valuable legacy of the brand's mission—an entrepreneurial reality born from the creative impulse of Guido, Diego, and Omar Ferro. The secrets and techniques of master glassmakers, combined with collaborations with the most renowned Italian and international interior decorators over the years, have led to the success of many of their collections.

Philosophy and the image of the manufactory

Today, Yalos Murano is a well-known brand with a tradition-rich glass production; a proposal for furniture, style, and design for contemporary living, offering us glass and its many facets. Equipped with color and the most innovative lines, appreciating changing and fleeting light reflections of unique and one-of-a-kind objects, and the ability to connect personal identity with the object are the most immediate sensations of each of the proposed creations.

Nomads yet deeply rooted in their origins, Ferro, after the devastating plague of 1630 that decimated the local population, including glassmakers, returned to Murano and soon became among the local elite as Deputies of the island, occupying this prestigious position 27 times during the 18th century.

Belonging to the local productive elite and vital community, the Ferro family was part of the Gastaldi Major school of San Nicolò, which gathers artisans and master glassmakers and manages the glassworks. Moreover, their coat of arms is engraved twice on the Osella, a coin minted by the Venetian mint specifically for the Murano community.

As if representing their dual nature, the Ferro family coat of arms features an anchor, symbolizing stability and a connection to the land, as well as an irreplaceable tool of the comet during voyages and adventures at sea. From Leonardo Ferro, a skilled master, comes the Ferro Florian line, important glassmakers of the late 19th century—fertile and numerous—whose legacy continues today with glassworks bearing their name. Yalos Murano glassworks, through ongoing research and experimentation that historically distinguished it in artistic glass production, now presents a new challenge: Murano glass panels of various sizes, changing colors, numerous decorations, and unique, valuable combinations on the exterior.
