The producer of prestigious writing instruments has announced the availability of the Arabian Animal of Desert pen from the renowned Cosmopolitan collection, which has been revived from the company's historical archives. This special edition was created with the Arabian deserts market in mind and crafted by the most esteemed Italian brand Montegrappa. The first premiere took place at Baselworld, the world's largest and most significant event in the watch and jewelry industry, held annually in Basel, Switzerland. Montegrappa has reintroduced Cosmopolitan, a beloved collection from 1990. Since 1912, Montegrappa has been producing high-quality writing instruments in its historic building in Bassano del Grappa, North East.
The Cosmopolitan Collection features a silver pen with resin accents and intricate details, which are carved in relief and serve as a medium to convey the spirit of five different cultures. The series will be offered in a special edition of 500 fountain pens, 500 roller pens, and 50 of each style in gold. It will include the following distinct themes: Arabian desert animals, Bohemian Paris, Victorian England, and ancient Chinese gods.
Arabian Animal of Desert — from exotic birds of prey to desert-dwelling camels and noble horses, the Cosmopolitan series has captured the fauna, majesty, and mysteries of one of the most challenging environments on our planet: the Arabian deserts. The result of this collaboration can be admired in the limited collection. The pen features an 18 kt gold nib.
It is presented in an elegant box made of maple wood, decorated with a plaque plated in gold or silver with the characteristic logo of this collection. The box also includes an elegant brochure describing the collection and the history that inspired its release.
Montegrappa combines traditional methods, such as casting, with innovation, like relief engraving, to create valuable works of art. Whether using colors reminiscent of painters or ornaments suggesting baroque palaces, Italian heritage and romance are consistently showcased in each product.
