Montegrappa and Alfa Romeo are two legendary Italian brands approaching their hundredth anniversary. That is why Montegrappa, which has been producing top-quality fountain pens and writing instruments in the same factory since 1912, was chosen to create a special edition pen for Alfa Romeo's centenary, founded in 1910.
Italian quality unites these two companies. Both embody values that define the Italian soul, tradition, and innovation. Another, almost transcendental advantage that connects them is their commitment to ensuring their creations possess elegance, and that form respects function. Have any other sports cars ever been as beautiful and proportionate as the Alfa Romeo 6C 1750 or 8C? Therefore, Montegrappa pens also showcase the Italian blend of form and functionality.
The first product of this new collaboration is an elegant line of pens embodying the essence of Alfa Romeo's history and prestige. The collection was brought to life by master craftsmen from Bassano. On the occasion of this important anniversary, it includes twelve different writing items (three versions of pens, ballpoint pens, and mechanical pencils) to celebrate and honor the magnificent car, in which every design detail was carefully considered. The date when Anonima Lombarda Fabbrica Automobilistica was founded – June 24, 1910 – refers to the serial number of the pens created in this limited edition.
In the above model, traditional celluloid is used in the cap, while a technically advanced material such as carbon fiber is used in the body. This choice of materials demonstrates the perfect bridge between the past and the present.
An exquisite artistic design engraved with a unique low-relief technique on the body, available in silver and gold versions, inspired by stylistic elements reminiscent of the Alfa Romeo logo. It is also depicted in a sculpture on the cap top, while the classic four-leaf clover associated with Alfa is engraved on the 18-karat, bi-color gold nib. The feed is made of ebonite, demonstrating that even parts hidden from the human eye are luxurious and crafted with the utmost attention to detail.The unique charm of the collection makes these items perfect as gifts for those who pass on a part of tradition along with innovation.
