The first is based on the idea that everyday objects should be aesthetic, but primarily functional, made in an elegant, simple way—with symmetrical lines, from solid materials, where every element is carefully thought out in its final form.
Art Noveau is the complete opposite of Thistle—decorated items that combine functionality and artistic craftsmanship, elaborate Art Nouveau style, and asymmetry.
Century, on the other hand, is expressive, feminine, and highly original thanks to its rich references to various eras in design history.
