Art Nouveau-inspired candelabras and candleholders
Although Art Nouveau was most popular in Europe, at the height of its development it spread worldwide. The fascination with its mysterious, contrasting style, rich in subtle, feminine patterns, stemmed not only from admiration of its form. Behind this style was a design philosophy that encompassed entire lives, gaining a strongly aesthetic dimension — the Secession style often dominated homes. Buildings were constructed in the Art Nouveau style, furnished accordingly, and even the smallest decorative element was inspired by natural structures cherished by artists of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
