A modern armchair inspired by the work of Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer - Insidherland

The Niemeyer II armchair is a redesign of the original Niemeyer chair, named after the Brazilian architect Oscar Niemeyer, whose architecture spread like sculptural poetry throughout human history. The chair's rounded lines are influenced by the extraordinary “Casa das Canoas” designed by Niemeyer in 1951.

The flat roof offers flowing shapes to the round seating. The movement of the curvature surrounding the large granite boulder is recreated through the placement of seams in meticulous upholstery work that contours the armrests of the chair.
